spring beauty roundup

Cold weather isn't kind to my sensitive skin, so I've been investing in higher quality products and wearing less make-up. Lately I've been applying my daily moisturizer, a little blush, eye make-up, and I'm done.

On the days I have a few too many spots that would require excessive concealer to cover I do blend BB cream into my moisturizer for all over coverage, but still keep it on the light side. It's a simple everyday look that's easy on my skin and it looks natural. (A little less natural when I get carried away with the eyeliner, but it's seriously the BEST liquid eyeliner I've ever used.)

So,  rather than tell you more about my weird skin, here's what I'm using:
Maybelline The Falsies Mascara | Urban Decay eyeshadows (YDK & Verve) | Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush | Marc Jacobs Magic Marc'er Precision Eyeliner Pen | Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream

While I do love a good trip to Sephora or Ulta, I tend to stick with drugstore brands when it comes to a few products - blush and mascara. Blush colors sometimes look better in the store and I have been surprised more than once how much "quality" mascara brands clump. I don't mind being disappointed by a $6 tube of mascara, but I would hate to waste $30+ on it.

I didn't include a lip color above since I don't generally tend to wear lipstick/stain/gloss, but if you are looking for some color I did recently find Revlon's Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick and highly recommend it. Depending on which shade you prefer it compliments a natural look or can add a nice bright color to a more subtle palette.

Now that I've shared my favorite beauty products for spring, what are yours?
