ice bucket round-up

Now that we have our bar cart and glassware we're on the hunt for a few more small additions to make it complete. I would like a colored glass decanter, preferably blue, teal, or green decanter. I found a great blue decanter before I got to publish this post! And we both want an ice bucket. The decanter wasn't a huge necessity, we do have three crystal ones already, but the ice bucket would be functional for when friends are over for game nights, parties, and even cookouts this summer.

Jason has been scouring the web, we even saw a few the day we found our bar cart, but so far we haven't chosen "the one." Here are a few that we found online that have peaked our interest:

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6

I feel like it's worth saying I don't even like pineapples but I love that ice bucket! It wouldn't match our bronze cart, but it's just so cool and I can't help but be drawn to it. (Fun fact: Jason is actually allergic to pineapples. Real ones, of course.) The options above are a pretty good indicator of how all over the place my ideas are when it comes to what color ice bucket we're looking for. I thought I was leaning more toward something blue or green, possibly black if those two don't work out. I'm even open to a patterned ice bucket if we find the right one (which we haven't even come close to yet, hence no example.) I'm even pretty partial to the pink one, but I don't thin Jason would like it as much :)

While obsessively browsing I did find a great site with affordable ice buckets in a variety of colors and materials - Mr. Ice Bucket. The designs are pretty simple over all, so if you find yourself looking for a bold pattern or something extravagant this may not be the site for you. They don't have any pineapples, but several of the buckets above are coincidentally from their site. I didn't even realize it until I started narrowing down my fifty open tabs of "possible ice buckets."

There are also a lot of great options on Ebay and Etsy, I have my eye on a few pieces. I highly recommend shopping around since online sellers have a tendency to raise prices on things just to make money, not just because they are valuable. Some of the Mr. Ice Bucket buckets are also being sold on Etsy as "vintage" at double and triple and the retailer prices. Just as a warning - an item with a vintage look or style does not necessarily make it vintage and don't let anyone rip you off because they're greedy.

There's no rush on this, so if you have any suggestions on any websites or places we could look at please let me know, I would love to hear them!
