confession: i'm a j.crew addict

I absolutely love J.Crew! The style, the fit of their clothes -I've never had a brand that just works so well for me. Don't get me wrong, I do have some reservations about some of their prices $300+ purses... (They're no Kate Spade or Michael Kors, I'll pass) $150 t-shirts, eh, no thanks. Overall though I've added a lot of great pieces to my wardrobe at reasonable prices by hitting up sales, the factory store, and only caving for retail prices when it's something I really, really want and it's going to be something that I wear enough for it to be worth it in the long run.

I've picked up a lot of solid color tees and shorts, courtesy of some great summer sales, but now my focus has shifted - I am in love with their fall collection! Here are a few of my current favorites:

I'm trying to be good and wait until we make a trip to an actual store before I order online, but it is so hard! I may or may not already have a few things in my shopping cart... just in case... For the sake of my J.Crew card and bank account in general, it's probably a good thing that J is not crazed about this brand himself. I would want to buy him all the things!

I'm can't be the only one with a brand addiction, what's yours?

  2. I love J Crew too! Back in the day I used to work at J Crew and the employee discount was so tempting I ended up spending most of my paychecks on clothes! Really looking forward to their fall collection... thinking about getting a new wool coat this year!

  3. I LOVE J.Crew, but I'm the same way with their prices. I own several pieces, but all from sales! The great thing is that J.Crew is so classic that I think I still HAVE everything I've ever bought there (versus stuff from other stores that goes out of style or falls apart from poor quality). Try to be strong and wait for the fall stuff to go on sale! It'll go on sale before the fall season is over anyway!

    1. Exactly! Quality makes some of the higher prices worth it. I feel kind of silly spending $30 on a basic tee shirt, but they are the best tees I own and they don't shrink or lose their shape like the $8 Target ones that I had been buying.

I'm going to hold out on as much as I can for sales! But there are 1-2 things I don't think I can wait on. I wanted a really cute neon top from the spring collection, and I waited and it sold out :( Unfortunately no one did a knock off. I'm still mourning that loss, lol.
